“YS School Cultural Festival 2025” is the highlight event in 2025 youthfest@HK, carrying the theme “Creating My MAX Level Formula”, which encourages young people to unleash their fullest potential through diversified development and exploration, crafting their unique growth journey and exploring their new frontiers with positivity and pioneering spirit. The Festival comprises Summer and Winter editions. It will showcase a dynamic range of activities, with the elements of urban sports, technology and arts, anime and idol performance, offering a multitude of diverse and enriching experiences to participants.

【Winter Edition】

Date: From middle of December 2025 to end of January 2026

Location: Youth Square (near Exit A, Chai Wan MTR station)

Activity 1: Ani-com Fantasy 2025

In winter, Youth Square is going to launch an anime-themed exhibition with two popular series from middle of December 2025 to end of January 2026. Once again, all anime fanatics are invited to embark on a captivating journey into the world of ACG! Participants can also engage in designated activities throughout the event to win limited exclusive anime souvenirs. All anime enthusiasts are welcome to join in sharing their passion and love for ACG with like-minded followers. Furthermore, the “Anime Screening” will offer free public screenings of popular anime. The rich anime atmosphere will immerse everyone in the world of the second dimension, allowing them to enjoy the thrill of watching together. All anime fans are encouraged to come and celebrate and let your anime spirit shine!

Activity 2: Doujin Fan Fest 2025

Over a two-day weekend, Youth Square will hold a vibrant cultural event with elements of anime, cosplay, and music performances. The event will feature a Doujin Zone Stage, a Market, and Doujin Cultural Experience Workshops, providing youngsters with a diverse platform to showcase their talents and make friends with others. This year, the lineup has been upgraded, featuring popular Cosers from the Greater Bay Area for experience sharing, as well as a famous local VTuber (Virtual YouTuber) for an exciting performance and interactive session. The event aims to ignite the creative potential of youngsters through interdisciplinary exchanges and pave the way for a fresh creative formula for the new generation!

The event will also feature some Instagrammable “check-in” hotspots. Visitors are welcome to come to the event to make friends!

【Summer Edition】 SWISH! YS Basketball Fest

Since Hong Kong is the co-host for the 15th National Games, Youth Square will once again launch the “SWISH! YS Basketball Fest” during the summertime, featuring a series of basketball-themed activities combining the elements of urban sports, technology and arts. The activities include 3 on 3 basketball competition, Greater Bay Area basketball camp, Sports & Chill Experienced workshops, several “check-in” hotspot and mini games. Participants will learn various basketball skills while having the opportunities to exchange knowledge with friends from different places. This year, the proragmme will introduce sports technology for the first time, using Artificial Intelligence to create a brand-new sports experience for youngsters and enhance their athletic performance.

1. YS Summer Basketball Competition

Date: 16 Aug (Saturday) – 24 Aug (Sunday) 2025

Location: Y Studio, 2/F, Youth Square (near Exit A, Chai Wan MTR station)

Target: Youths aged between 14 and 29

3-on-3 basketball competition is one of the star attractions of the event. Participants will dazzle the crowd with their basketball skills and compete against skilled opponents and top players from the Greater Bay Area on the court! The competition features junior and youth categories, divided into men and women groups. Professional basketball players from Oltron Basketball which had participated in the “Super3 League” are invited in the exchange session with Hong Kong professional and young players on 24 August. All talented basketball players will gather at Youth Square to deepen youngsters’ understanding of sports careers and promote urban sports in Hong Kong. The event will also feature cheerleading performance to energize the players, showcasing the vibrant energy and talent of the youths on stage, and spreading positive vibes.

2. Sports & Chill-experienced workshops

Combining elements of technology, dance and arts, a series of sports themed workshops will be organised. These workshops include basketball training workshops, Sports Tech experience workshops, cheerleading experience and Sports x Arts workshops.

3. Greater Bay Area Basketball Camp

Date: 22-24 August 2025 (Friday - Sunday)

Location: Youth Square (near Exit A, Chai Wan MTR station)

Target: Youths aged between 18 and 29

To gather and promote knowledge exchange among young people in the Greater Bay Area, YS Basketball Summer Camp invites professional basketball coach to provide training and guidance to the youth campers from the mainland. Summer Camp participants will have opportunity to compete and engage in skill exchanges with youths from Hong Kong on the court, broadening their horizons and allowing interaction for skill enhancement.
