Sustainable development has been a highly valued topic in society in recent years, and more youth are interested in engaging in related industries. As part of Youth Square's 6G guiding principle, "Green", "Planting for Future" is organized to enhance awareness and concern for relevant issues among secondary school students in Hong Kong. Through guided tours, students are encouraged to actively promote urban greening and create a sustainable future for the communities. Students also gain a comprehensive understanding of how facility management practices the concept of urban greening, thereby acquiring a more comprehensive knowledge of the industry.

Programme Details and Application Method:

“Planting for Future” Guided Tour

By visiting Youth Square and Y Loft, students gain insights into the daily operations of Facilities Management and Hostel. Students will learn about Youth Square's measures in environmental protection and urban greening, with explanations of how the company implements the concept of sustainable development in Facilities Management. This provides students with a more all-rounded understanding of the industry and helps them plan their future careers. During the visit, students also participate in horticultural experiences and receive small potted seedlings.

Vertical Wall Transplanting Activity

Students and teachers who participate in the guided tour are encouraged to plant the seedlings, which will be collected by Youth Square in mid-July for use on the vertical green wall. Alternatively, participants can personally join the vertical green wall transplanting activity at Youth Square in mid-August. Details will be provided to participating schools later.
