Hanfu Cultural Experience Exhibition
Organised by Youth Square

Youth Square is going to launch the "Hanfu Cultural Experience Exhibition" from 13 to 26 February 2026. It is a highlight event of youthfest@HK. This thematic exhibition showcases a variety of reconstructed traditional Hanfu attire, and features Hanfu try-on experience and multiple Chinese arts and culture workshops. The exhibition also displays "Beijing Silk Figure" which is on the national list of Intangible Cultural Heritage, presenting the unique charm of traditional Chinese arts and craftsmanship. Through physical displays, interactive experiences, and crafts workshops, the event aims to deepen participants' appreciation of Chinese culture and history, while promoting the growth of cultural arts industries, and encouraging the popularisation of Chinese traditions.
Hanfu Cultural Experience Exhibition
The exhibition carries two major themes—clothing and crafts—featuring the "Hanfu Restoration Exhibition Zone" and the "National Intangible Cultural Heritage Beijing Silk Figure Exhibition Zone". The "Hanfu Restoration Exhibition Zone" displays historically restorations of Hanfu attire from various dynasties including musical performance costumes from the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, silk road-themed costume from the Tang Dynasty, wedding attire from the Ming Dynasty, and other researched garment restoration. Every piece is authentically reproduced, from fabric, colors to precise structure details, bringing to life both everyday and ceremonial clothing of ancient China. Besides, the "National Intangible Cultural Heritage Beijing Silk Figure Exhibition Zone" is with the theme of "Chinese Myths and Legends". These three-dimensional artworks are entirely handmade from premium silk. As the name suggests, every element of the figure is crafted from this high-quality material. The exhibition allows visitors to appreciate the lifelike silk figure and admire the mastery craftmanship behind the intangible cultural heritage techniques.
