Encourage students explore Chinese culture in Hong Kong’s Monuments and find the connection between Hong Kong‘s monuments and Chinese culture, to have a better understanding and appreciating of our national culture. Encourage students to come into contact with and appreciate the culture in authentic contexts outside the classroom environment. Improve students’ motivation of study Chinese history and culture.

Theme: Hong Kong’s Monuments and Chinese Culture

Participant free to select the appropriate scene in Hong Kong for photo shooting

Primary Students: All students attending primary schools in Hong Kong (P.1-P.6)

Secondary Students: All students attending secondary schools in Hong Kong (F.1-F.6)

 

Judging Criteria

Theme, artistic merit, creativity, photographic technique and message expression etc.

Regulation of Entries:

1. Either smart phone or digital camera for photo shooting

2. Image format: JPEG or PNG (Original file)

3. Resolution and size: Smart phone: High resolution, 2MB or above / Digital camera: High resolution, 5MB or above

 

Regulations and Points to Note

1. No limitation on the number of participants of each school.

2. Each participant can enter both smart phone category and digital camera category, one entry only for each category.

3. Each participant must be the original photographer of the submitted entry.

4. Must capture photo in the real scene and not allow to use digital application, software and manually create the content or fictitious content.

5. The copyright of all images used in the material submitted will be owned by the event organizer.

6. All the submission after application deadline is not accepted. All the submission and related materials will not be returned and revised.

7. Submitted photographs may be produced as educational materials by Education Bureau for General Studies for P.1-P.6 and Chinese History for F.1-F.3.

8. All the winning photographs will be exhibited in Youth Square.

9. Youth Square and Education Bureau reserve the right to alter the details of the activity. Should there be any dispute, the decision of Youth Square and Education Bureau should be final.
